If you can put up the Crappie Customer Service Samson makes some sweet sounding Slip-ons. I put some Silver Bullets on my 01 RKC and changed them out to Rineharts TD when they first came out. They sat in the corner of the garage till the day I brought the 07 RG home I put them on it and it sounds Great as they did on the RKC
I am VERY happy with my SuperTrapp SE slip ons. I have no other mods done to the bike just the slip ons. Bike sounds great! No Decel Pop or any other strange sounds. I like the SuperTrapps sound but also like that I have the choice of end caps. When I want a new look I just buy new endcaps instead of all new pipes.
I have the SUPERTRAPP SE slip ons too. I bought them with a Power Commander from Fuel Moto. Sound is pretty good, but as time has gone by I find myself wishing they were a little louder.
+3 on the supertrapp SE = great sound and even good performance
-1 on them not being loud enough , I would like one that I could hear my radio better with , so you will find them just right !
I've got the Rush 15350 slip ons with 1.75 baffles. Great sound, great quality and the customer service can't be beat. I definitely recommend the Rush products, and as long as you stay with a 1.75 or 1.5 baffle you won't have to worry with the downloads. (I have a 2004 Ultra with a stage 1 kit.)
My opinion, I went with SE slip-ons. Not the loudest, but good quality and legal in 49 states. They have gotten slightly louder since Feb 07, but they haven't turned and still work! By fars not the loudest, but still sound good @ throttle. my 2 cents
I have used Pythons on every big twin Ive owned and think they are great. They are made by the same folks who make V&H but are normally $150 cheaper. Also, you can spend money on a tuner and air cleaner if you want but its completely unnecessary if you just want your bike to sound better. My 96 inch 07 has plenty of power for me.
