I think the real problem will be Moment Arm Torsion ovalling of the parent material cam support plate bearings. I go into this in great detail in the new book which is at the publishers now (1 month away..I think).
Automotive uses these successfully but the torsion is from the middle of the cam not (sprocket and pulling chain) one end like H-D.

I changed mine at 22,000 and they were only about 1/3 worn. Have them checked at about this time. Some go more some less , but I would check them at about 25,000 just for peace of mine. Tim
