Given that the '09's have recently arrived in showrooms, I doubt very seriously you're going to find much information in that regard. It usually takes months before any defects begin showing up. I bought my '08 last November and couldn't be happier. There were new changes made last year and was somewhat reluctant myself, but I've had no problems. The good news is, HD does stand by their products.

I made the commitment today on a 09 Ultra and would love some feedback as well. Bottom line is the improvements they made are not mechanical as far as power train. The improvements, (Exhaust reroute, intergrated IDS, Bigger rear tire, Larger front tire, stronger and lighter frame along with changes in fearing) are all great improvements. My problem is the colors. Not sold on any of the choices and may go vivid black. For what it is worth, the dealer and one other person I know that has actually ridden one absolutley love them. I am cranked.....

I saw an '09 blue pearl FLHT and FLHTCU at HD of Maryland this week. I thought the color looked great. My '05 was a different shade of blue, but I liked both.

I am going to ride one today and rent one next weekend, just put a deposit on a black one mid Sep dlivery. They will refund my rental when I pick up my new bike. I already know the bars have to go.
