the badge has a stick on backing plate that it screws in to. So you stick on the backing plate with 3m tape then the emblem screws into the plate, I really couldn't tell you why you just dont use the 3m tape on the back of the emblem itself but it is a two piece design.
In my process of starting over I have most of the engine covers collected and ready to take to powder. Will probably wait until winter to do the console/fuel door, horn/bracket, and air cleaner in wrinkle. Along with turn signals, fender strut covers, engine guard, and other misc pieces in gloss. Gonna get back to where I was on the streetglide before the accident.
Started the blacking out on my scarlet red RG. Can't decide if I want to leave the engine covers chrome with some black accents or just go all black...
