i have had my Sundowner seat on my 08 street glide for about 30 days. My chic and I went to ride this morning and the steel tab that screws into the fender was broken at the seat...the seat pan is plastic and the steel tab slides into a tabbed slot, the plastic surounding the steel tab broke off.
Has anyone had this problem and what should I expect from HD.
I did keep my stock seat so we did ride this morning.

hapened to me just took a "c" clip made of steel and replaced it.make sure you hold the steel piece in the fender.

thanks for the feedback...not sure i understand how a c-clamp can stay clear of the fender...

I put a drag specialties rear tab on mine. It has a screw that you can unscrew with your fingers, no tools it is chrome and solid.

This is the first time I have heard of this happening on a touring bike seat but I see it all the time on the Sporty seats but usually the pan cracks at the front and not the rear. I would take it back and get it replaced myself.
