Default Brake Help

I need help! O.K I have a 21 Hog Pro wheel on the front of my 08 Street Glide. I have Hog pro rotors also. The left caliper is rubbing on the rotor. The caliper needs to go to the left but can't because it's inboard of the fork. Or the rotor needs to go to the right a little. So I can't shim the caliper cause it inside the fork. How do I move it over to the right to center the rotor. The right spacer is the factory spacer and the left side is the abs sensor. The wheel could move to the right and still be ok on the right caliper but I'm not sure how to do it. Thanks

First make sure your spacers are in the proper way, One is shorter than the other and will make a difference. Also, make sure you torque the left side tight to where the very edge of the hole on the left side is flush with the right side. The manual says to use a 7/16 drill bit inside there to hold the axel and set that distance. I had the same problems with mine and after I did the above everything meshed up fine. I did have abad rotor from hog pro the first time and was out of true, but they jumped on it and fedexed me a new one out right away, Great guys over there!

Thanks Matt, I only have one spacer. It's on the right side. The other side is the ABS sensor. I'm not following you on the hole lining up part. Can you explain? Mine is an 08

Default give a Call

You should call Hog Pro first to give them a chance to fix your bike. If you like after that, take photos of what you have, than give me a call toll free. I fix many problems such as yours. I can walk you through it once I know what I am faced with. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL ~ E.S.T. Do not use your bike until you fix it. Your problem may cause the front wheel to seize, not good.

So here's an update on my brake issue. Turns out my wheels were one of the first that Hog Pro made for 08 ABS bikes. After calling them an telling them what was happening they knew what the problem was. The hubs were off a few thousands and it made the rotor off center. Hog Pro said they were a fault and sent me new hubs and rotors. Fits perfect now and all is good. Nice to see a company do the right thing. A lot a companies should take note.
