Will a 06 security system work on a 09?

Getting ready to make a deal today on a 09 Ultra, I currently have a 06. I would like to save a little money and put my 06 security system on the 09. Has anyone done this with there 07 and 08? thanks

yep the 06 is the smart alarm 1 the smart alarm 2 which is a better unit i think
i got it straight ride safe

Pull it off the 06 and ebay it if the sucker doesn't work. If your talking about the alarm end of things I think it will work. I believe the 09 P&A list the same part number for the Smart Siren II for early model years to present.

Alarm

I want to know one thing!! Why do they call it the "Smart Alarm' ? I think its should be called the "Dumb Alarm" the ones after 06 anyways because the earlier ones on the fob there was a button to disarm and arm the alarm. Then on my 08 Dresser, the new "Smart Alarm" there is no button you have to be in proximity of the alarm with the fob to arm and disarm!!!! Pain in the AZZZZZ!!!! My 2 cents BV
