Default Xied

Ok, this is my first EFI bike. My new Ultra is setting in the states waiting for me. I have read a lot about the different fuel management systems out there. I am not looking for max power, just a bike that runs good and will last along time. I think I have decided on the Xied, but I want to do more research. I cant find anything by doing a Google search except for stuff on forums. Where do you get them, what would I search for?

EBay is out because the sight is blocked from out here.

Doesn't the SE keep the Fuel mix the same as stock? From what I understand the bikes are De-Tuned from the factory and run lean. Lean = Heat + early wear... All I want is to richen it up a little. From everything I have read the Xied is the most cost effective way of doing what I want to do. I am open to ideas and discussion. My mind isn't set on them yet. I just want to do more research on them. I want something I can install and remove easily with out needing dyno time or a day at the dealer or Indy shop. I do appricate your input, and invite more and others.

Do a search for nightrider they sell them also check the classified here there was a pair for sale for cheep. In the EFI section there is a lot of information If your just looking to cool the bike down a little these work really well. I had them on my 2007 while my thundermax was being repaired. Ness stage 1 w/a fatcat 2into1 I put 500 miles on and experienced no problems and my fuel mileage was avg 44-45

Steve's website is here http://www.nightrider.com/parts/
I have the xieds on my 08 and they work great, much cooler motor and more responsive all around.

Out of curiosity, which AF ratio version did you get? The web sites shows a couple of different versions. Thanks!

I have them on my 07 RKC for a year now. The best investment for your 07 and 08 96 engine, runs cooler and better throttle response. I got the EIED's AFR is 13.8.1 convert stock exhaust to true duals with K&N filter and get even better result. Since I've done that I seem to be able to rev up higher between gears without the engine sounding like it's working hard.

I went with the 02ied's they don't make it quite as rich and I left everything else stock. really made a big improvement in performance and temp. (cheaper too)

As mentioned, the Xied's are richer than the IED's. The variable ones are not needed for the Touring bikes. This all the fuel management I have, and after alot of research, all I will put on this bike. Very, very happy. The wife even commented on how much cooler it ran, and asked me if I changed anything on the bike, so it IS noticible.
