I have had the opposite impression. Metzlers all the way wet, dry, snow....ya dont ask long story, lets just say the pucker factor was high... Way better than Bridgestone and Dunlop. Buddy put Avon venoms on his did like the dry but hated the wet traction on the venoms at first now he is warming up to them. When its time for changing out the worn Dunlops its gonna be Metzies. Have run em for years and 0 problems.

look at the rain grooves on the avons. far superior to any other brand. as for availability try any metric shop. you dont have to buy everything from hd!

Loved the Dunlops on my 06 FLHT, rode it a lot in rain never had a problem. My 04 RG has Metzler 880's, Sunday i locked the front in the wet, I don't like them
