Is a SG lowered front & back from the Factory? HD web page says slammed suspension in 1 area and in another area it says slammed rear suspension. Looking at the parts catalog it says the low profile shocks will not lower a SG, makes sense, it also says must be used with front lowering kit. In the description for front springs it says fits all touring models and does not exclude the SG. I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated.
and if you do use the front-end lowering kit (like I did) ask them to put extra HEAVY OIL in - because the thing bottoms out on medium bumps ... not the glide experience if you know hwat I mean
I also would like to know if any one went to progressive suspension for baggers. I have a 2006 Road King with profile lowering suspension and the ride on the back roads of New England are rough. I drove a couple of Heritage Softail's and to me it feels like that suspension handles the back roads beter than my Road King.
