Heritage with vibration? Man my 06 heritage is as solid as a rock. I am looking at a 09 Sg and worried about vibration. I wonder if i could put heritage bars on a SG? My riding position on my heritage fits me perfect. It seems like you sit more forward on a SG.

It strange but the soft tails with counter balanced crank and without rubber motor mounts vibrate more than touring bikes.
The 09 street glide was smooth as glass, the heritage was not even in the same league. I did like the riding position on the heritage, but the vibration in the handlebars was uncomfortable. That is just my opinion. It is also a very good looking bike.
The street glide for 09 in my opinion was the best. I will love my 06 until finances allow then it will be an 09. As someone else said, I could overlook the 96 motot, 6 speed trans, brakes, and 6 gallon tank, but that new frame and all the other improvements won me over.
Riding it made a real impression, the 09 touring line especially the street glide are vastly improved.
I could have waited for the 09's, but glad I didn't. I got my first HD after riding for about 40 years. Been a metric rider and I'm excited about and happy that I have my dream bike.
There is nothing wrong with the 08's, they are a fine motorcycle, probably the best bike I've ever owned.
Glad everyone is happy with the 09's, but I can't see that there is that much difference in the two. It's a HD and rumbles, runs and is a blessing to be able to own one.
Congrats on everyone's new 09, but don't degrade the 08's, as they are great bikes. Let's face it, if HD didn't come up with upgrades and differences each year, they would be out of business very soon.
Be proud of your bike and get out and ride. Now if this pneumonia will get off my back and tropical storm Fay would die out.... I would go ride instead of typing on the forum.
I haven't ridden the 09's yet but will soon. I love the new rear and have a lock on an 09 CVO Road Glide. If it comes to be, I'll end up selling my SG and will convert. If not, then the SG goes when they come out with a CVO SG.

Be blessed and thank God for all He as given you.
I don't think anyone is "degradeing" the 08, they are merely pointing out the changes and improvements made in 09. I have an 03 road king that runs and rides fine, but i'm sure the 09 rides much smoother.
The 09s are great and I am sure the 10s, 11s, and, 12s will all have something to make me want to trade in.
I'll try to resist as long as possible but I know at some point there will be another new Harley in the garage.
I'm happy Harley is still in the game and in my opinion still #1.
