In these shakey economic times, especially if you wait till fall or later, you just might. There's a site called stealers and dealers online that you can find dealers in your state to see how they're rated for sales and service and if they won gold silver or bronze awards.
I would say, No. I just purchased one a couple of weeks ago here in Milwaukee. With the SG being HD's best seller and the 105 this week I would think no discounts will be found. When I bought mine a guy was looking at a 09 as well and he tried to get a "deal" discount, special APR or Rebates and the dealer kinda laughed and said with all the changes to this bike for 09, fast sales of the SG and the 105 a couple of weeks away HD would not discount or put any promo dollars into the Street Glide.
Sure I paid retail but got deals on the extra stuff I bought for the bike. I couldn't be happier with my new 09 SG.
Any idea if they're dealing on the '09 FLHRC? My buddy is in the market, but our local dealer quoted him straight MSRP, no discounts of any kind. APR right now was around 4.9% for 7 years, which sounds pretty good, but he (and I) expected something to come off MSRP, even $800-1000. Was that unrealistic?
