1. yes

2. there are alternatives to hawgwire--not cheap though

3. Alpine PDX 150 amp 4x150 watts fits on the saddlebag at the latch does not take up that much room

4. Infinity Kappa 6 1/2 speakers in the fairing--to my knowledge these are the only 6 1/2's that will fit in the fairing with minor modification

I bought the 120 watt DCS series amp. Well worth the price. 90 on the freeway in traffic and hear it crystal clear. I bought some Polk (db 525) speakers from Crutchfield because they were marine rated. Hawg Wired's FAQ's say a reason for their speakers not working is because they got wet. Check me if I'm wrong, but you are going to mount them where they may come into contact with water. If you like music, don't buy crap because it was less expensive. Quality is quality. BTW amp and speaker install were a breeze.

I like my Hawg wired set up. Still have all my saddle bag room, and can listen to it for an hour and I know my bike will still start.

ok can someone post what it takes to get the 6 1/2 inch speakers to fit in the fairing? Very interested in this and is the arc amp a plug and play kind of deal or does it require cutting splicing and re routing?

far to many equate loud with good quality sound, its not the same thing, if you look around you will find in the stereo world there is a point whick you will pay a lot more for just a little better quality, only your ears can be the judge as to weather or not its worth it to you, the hawg wired stuff is top notch, i love mine, I definatly feel I got what I paid for.

Hawg wired makes several different speakers, the component ones I have are poly and some water will not hurt them

Just contact FireCap501, its that simple. He set me up with a Arc mint amp and 4 new speakers. The system kicks azz and at 70 mph, half volume is all you need.

Thirds on the contact Firecap. This guy spent 30 minutes with me on the phone answering all my concerns. Also went out of his way to make sure I received my amp before this coming weekend. Great Customer Service! That will get my business every time. Also thanks to Blueflht for hooking us up.
