Looking for some feedback on the Flare Windshield from Kustom Baggers. I ride two up most of the time and was wondering about the wind on the passenger? I also like to look over the windshield but not sure about it only being 6 1/2" high.
Anybody using one of these?
I got the 12in clear (do a lot of evening/night rides) MAR resistant. I've had a taller smoked...but like to see the road better when it's darker. this wind shield it top quality...have rode 6K+ with it and have very very min wear.
I have this windshield and love it! Of course I'm only 5'6" and My passengers about the same. It took away 95% of the buffeting...the other buffeting will be controlled by Kury dragon wings in a month. I think they are a good investment in IMO. Mike
I bought the black one for my Street Glide (you don't realize how much you look through the OEM wind deflector until you buy a black one). Put about 3K on a trip right after I installed it, I love it. I was solo, so no input on the passenger. The only time I wish I could see through it is when I'm splitting lanes in bumper to bumper traffic, but even then it is fine, just a learning curve. I too was concerned about the looks. The pictures don't do it justice. It looks great on the bike. Bottom line, if you like using a wind deflector, you will love it. If you are used to a full height windshield, not so sure.
There's another thread on here about this, and most say they love the look, but the protection isn't nearly what's needed for protection. Everyone likes how it looks.....
I'm not a big fan of the appearance of the Flare on the FLH, but functionally it's probably great. I think this windshield was originally designed for the Road Glide and ported over to the FLH.
