I bought a 09 Pewter Street Glide that I haven't picked up yet as we are waiting on parts... My wife wants it in Vivid Black. The dealer has a Black Pearl coming that we could get as a compromise. Most people seem to have a black bike and I'm curious why?
It's been proven that vivid black is just a bit faster than the other colors that H.D. offers. ; - )
Enjoy the decision and the bike when it arrives.
Ride safe........
When you look at it does it say "wow" to you? If not, get the color that does. I look at mine sometimes and say "that's a bad azz looking bike". Vivid Black
Color matter mostly to the owner ...but... If you're going to later look for used stuff like Tour Pak or a lower fairing, they're are a lot more out there in vivid black that other colors.

I have looked at several color choices since I got my Vivid Black, the Pearl Black and the "I call it Gun metal" color are the only two colors I would choose different. But, I think I made the right choice. Vivid Black is a classic.
Keep a microfibre towel and some good cleaner handy, black is a pain to keep clean.
On another matter, I like that flat silver and the flat back on the street glides. No polishing.
