Default Abs

I went to but a new SG today but they did not have any with ABS. I thought ABS seemed like a good idea for safety. Any problems with the ABS? Do you think it is worth the 795.00 extra for it?

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Best thing since "sliced bread" - wouldn't order another bike without them!!

I don't have ABS. I got a sweet deal on my bike off the showroom floor the only thing it didn't have was ABS. If I was going to order a bike I would order it with ABS.

I know a dozen people with it and they all highly recommended it to me so I made sure I bought a bike with ABS.

We got to try it out yesterday and I am very pleased with how it works and glad I have it.

I was on a ride with 130 bikes 3/4 way back in the field when they started stopping fast ahead of me. I had the wife on back and hit both the front and rear brakes hard at the same time and both wheels barked for a spilt second and the bike stopped smooth and straight.

Saved my bacon twice in the year I have had it. Highly recommended.

IMO, ABS is a no brainer. It's the one thing that always tempts me to trade up for a new bike. Plus it makes it an easier sell to the wife......"But honey, it's much safer riding with ABS brakes". 8 D

Thanks everybody thats what I was thinking. I will get the ABS. The dealer who did not have one said it was waste of money of course.

Yep, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Cheers, Geeded
