Wink Windshield wiper?

Don't laugh till you read this. The other day while I was out riding, it started to rain. As I rode , I had to reach up and wipe my glasses off. Got me to thinking. Has anyone made a windshield wiper/motor small enough to be mounted to a face shield or full face helmet ? And while I was thinking........ a small air blower similar to a what a welder/painter would use while working to keep the helmet from fogging up. I know, I shouldn't be left alone sometimes. Seriously, anyone know of such a thing ?

Never seen a wiper, but I've seen gloves that have a wiper type blade over the thumb and wrist of one glove to give you a better way to wipe away water manually. Don't know who makes them though.

Gerbings has gloves with the wiper edge made on the left glove. I was thinking about a waist mounted air blower/wiper motor with a small hose and drive for wiper. Or just an air driven wiper with the exhaust for ventilation.....? Time for my meds..................

I was wondering if I could mount a full bubble over the entire bike that would allow both windshield wipers as well as A/C for hot days.

Oh wait, that is what a car is!!!!

I've found with good goggles and good helmets, rain will bead off, there are several companies that make coatings to do this as well.

p.s. In a very sarcastic mood today.

I would think that something like Rain-X would help ya with that problem.

I have often though that they should make one for motorcycle windshields. Someone could make something flexible. An "all around" wiper that stays at the bottom of the windshield until an actuator pushes it all the way to the top and then retracts it back down.

You watch, someone will do this and make a million dollars and I"ll be saying "DOH! I shoulda done it!"

Thumbs up Harley Product

Rain-X won't work on plastic windshields, but Harley sells a product called "Windshield Water Repellent Treatment". Works like Rain-X, comes in tear-off sheets that you just wipe on the windshield, helmet visor, or glasses. I gave it a try while on a "wet" trip to Colorado last week - it really does make the water just "blow" off the windscreen. It contains 10 wipes and cost $6.95. Worth a try.

In Japan they actually put windshield wipers on motorcycle windshields...ie. Gold Wings.

If you put an F4 windshield on your ride, you can safely use Rain-X. The shield is also highly scratch resistant. http:/www.f4customs.com

Many ski shops will sell anti fog applications for ski goggles that work really well on helmets.
