Why don't you install 3/4" bearings for the rear instead reducers?...because you acquired a set of 2002-07 wheels that have good bearings?

Yeah that's what I meant, sorry. But the 2001 rear wheel must also have a 3/4" hub then because I'm finding that those are not as easy to find as a 02-07 1" hub wheel. I'm planning on having them chrome plated and need to find donors.
Does it matter if I use a 02-07 1" hub wheel with a 3/4" bearing for the rear?

Ok that's good to know. I had an obviously inexperienced service tech tell me that wasn't safe.
9 spoke wagon wheels. I may have found a set from Sport Chrome. They'll buy what I need and plate them for me. Just turns out to be more $$ than I was hoping to spend.

Oh ok cool! Good to know, thanks. I worked a deal with them for around $400 for 2 I believe it was. They'll guarantee them to be straight and clean, etc. I'm worried about risking buying a used set and them have issues that need to be fixed and run my bill up.
