The backrest makes a HUGE difference for me on longer rides. I have the adjustable one, and it really is handy to be able to change the angle once in a while so that you are not sitting in the same position the whole time.

Thanks for all of the responses. I'm going to order the adjustable backrest from Chicago Harley.

I have the adjustable and wouldn't trade it for anything (or maybe another one!). The only downfall I had was the bend in the bar wasn't enough and had to heat it to put a few degrees more into it. Now it works like a charm. I have back problems and after a few hours in the saddle it can make the difference of enjoying myself or being in complete misery. It's worth the money!!!!!

The ONLY thing that sucks about it is that I can't have a solo seat on the bike.

While I've awaited del. for 3 years of the 09 SE road glide, I'm NOT looking forward to waiting on mustang until Jan. for their seat & back rest, I would not ride without a back rest.

Not a problem, go with a mustang two piece seat, , solo with back rest, and obtain the back seat & use when needed.

I had the adjustable backrest and hated it. I don't have any problem riding for hours without one. I had it on the bike less that a week. If you want a good deal pm me, I was going to list it on eBay.

Is that a Mustang solo seat that works with the HD backrest or is that a Mustang solo seat with a built-in backrest?
