Guys and Girls,
I am about 65% sure that I will trade in my 2005r for a 2008 Road King. Can someone give me a list the required goods to get it up and running properly (i.e. tech manual, slip-ons). Sorry for the new guy question.
Thanks,
Herman
Went for a ride on Sunday and my bike started to sound like a log truck.I pulled over and discovered my rear head pipe had broken into. I was able to get it home and found that the transmission exhaust bracket and the bracket tab were broken also. Now I am in need of a rear head pipe so I can get back on the road.Any ideas of the best place to obtain these parts?
I have an '05 Road King. When I bought it new, I had Hooker slip-on mufflers installed along with the Stage1 airbox. For the last 3 years I've been back and forth with the dealer because my bike misses, chugs and lurches at low speeds. At a stop, it backfires and sometimes stalls when I try to get moving. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this symptom with the H-D fuel injection system? I sure could use some direction because the dealer says they can't help me!
Thanks for ur message SoCal! My biggest concern before I install a fuel management system, is that I'm worried that there might be a problem with my fuel injection system. I don't want to go to an after market ECM until I know that I'm not masking the real problem. Is the the problem in the stock ECM from Harley? If it is, then why does Harley encourage upgrades to their bike...i.e. performance exhausts, Stage1 intakes and such, if Harley knows that their MAP downloads won't work on anything other than "STOCK" equipment?
