I just bought this seat on Ebay. I was told that it had 400 miles on it and I believe it. It was shipped to me in the original box with original packaging. The guy bought an '08 Ultra and it only fits '97-'07. He had it on his old bike before he traded it. It looks like brand new.
I was under the impression that the seat didn't move you back, but it does. I like the firmness of the seat and how it feels when moving, but I think it may be too wide for me because I can barely reach the ground when stopped and now I'm farther from my sweeper bars too. I've only ridden on it for about 4 miles, so I'm not sure if I'll keep it or not, but, I'm leaning towards reselling it. I think I want this same feel in a seat, just need it to be much more narrow so my legs aren't spread eagle when I'm stopped, if ya know what I mean.
BTW, I put it on my '05 Ultra with stock suspension and I'm not interested in lowering my bike.
I bought a Mustang also; as for the seat comfort it took about 2 weeks of riding before I decided I liked it. It does feel a bit uncomfortable at the stops, but after a 1048 mile trip I was glad I had it.
I have a Mustang solo seat and Khromewerks Sweeper bars. I agree, this seat moves you back a bit and also is higher than the stock seat. I think this is why you get the sensation that it is too wide. It's actually fairly narrow in the nose but it's the height that gets you.
I have spent 15 1/2 almost continuous hrs in this saddle with no problems.
Then, if you still don't like it, I suggest trying a Mustang Solo. Very slightly firmer (thiner padding) but pretty close to the same feel. Sits lower, narrower at the nose.
ww1flyingace -I did see your seat comparison a while back. I will give this seat a few rides and see how I adapt. If I don't adapt, I'll be posting it for $300. I was cursed with a 32" inseam.
