Same as above, 1,000 mile check up switched to Amsoil. It is my opinion that after you get the 1,000 miles on her you can put what ever oil you are comfortable with in. I now have 22K on my bike without a puff of oil, the rings are seated.
+1 at the 1,000 mile service, switched to Synthetic oil and is still running clear as honey. 5,000 miles in the month of August and the oil is clear, not as honey, but clear.
When I bought my 07 EGC I put 400 miles on it with factory oil then changed it to 20W50 Amsoil engine & primary, 75W140 Amsoil in tranny. The bike has 16000m on it and has never used a drop of oil.
