Unfortunately there are a lot of people who will not remember, and it's only been 6 years.
We also need to be thankful to the ones that felt the call of duty, took the fight to the them so we could live our lives here and keep us safe at home.
Thank you to all of our service men, Bless you.
How could anyone ever forget. Every stay safe and keep the chrome up.
On a lighter note Hog Yild please check your math and or your calander.
I know first hand what terrorism is. I worked the OKC Murrah Bldg. bombing in 1995. It boggles my mind to think what my NYC brothers must have went through on 9/11.
Thank you for the correction, 7 years not 6 years.
Personally I am torn on this date each year, sad on one hand and joyous on the other.
My first grand daughter was born on 9-11-02, one year later, hence the mix up on the 6 years.
God speed to all those lost, NYC, DC, flight 93, and all the previous from Oklahoma and the attack in 93 by the blind f*ckstick shiek (I was there and working on the NYSE that day in 93).
I'm always angry and sad with an overwhelming desire to kill some cowardly ****** that are hiding in the deserts and mountains on this day. We lost 26 parents just in my town alone, from the world trade centers attack. I've lived in North Jersey my whole life and worked in Manahatten for 14 yrs - and to this day, it's still not ok inside of me when I'm riding down 78 on my old Jersey City FLHT Police Glide and look to the skyline and see that the Towers are not there.
I worked in the towers on and off during my 14 yrs in the city, so did my dad (rip). The Sunday after it happended -I was called in to by the Cisco emergency response team to lead a group of architects and engineers to rebuild the Bank of NY (oldest bank in the Nation and it was seriously wiped out infrastructure-wise). I saw first hand the devestation and destruction caused by those f*cks. God bless the firemen, police, EMS, red cross folks and the folks that were there ! What they endured at that time and the sickness caused long afterwards is just brutal.
Wish they would rebuild the towers and make three of them, with the one in the middle the tallest...
Over here in Afghanistan right now. Never have, never will forget. Won't forget the lives lost on this day 7 years ago, nor the lives we've lost being deployed since.
