i've got a 98 electra glide, love the bike. hate the seat.the bikes great for anything under 200 miles, after that my buns burn. the only time i ride this bike is when my wife wants to go along w/ me, so i usually use my other bike.does anyone make a seat, that i can put 5,6,700 miles on that doesn't give me butt burn.everyone around where i live has sugestions, but not being able to afford numerous seats until i find the right one,i'm looking for help.
check out meancity cycles in the classifieds here on the forum and see what they can do for you .or maybe an expensive sundowner from harley. there are others that have been used by the members here .
I wish I could borrow a sundowner seat to try on my '04 FLHTC.
I read where the sundowner is about two inches narrower than my stock seat.
I don't know if that would help or hinder my G/Fs ride, and like Matk...I don't want to buy a multiple hundreds of dollars worth of seats until I find one that fits.
My G/F and I rode three hours this past weekend and she did well.
On the way home....same three hour ride, she was figiting after hour and a half.
When we got home, she said the ride BACK was about an hour too long.
I have heard good things about Sundowner seats.....and also Mustang seats. Sure would hate to buy one just to have it hang on my shed wall.
As someone said everyone is different. I have a Mustang on my dresser and love it.I have used them in the past always liked them no issues. I believe you can return them within 30 days if you don't like the seat.
What ever you get it will take 4 or 500 miles to see if you like it or not.
