I just got back from 16mos in IRAQ and took the wife for a ride to Mount Rainier, WA via HWY7 to Paradise, then came back down to Elbe to take HWY12 west to I-5 north back to Fort Lewis, WA
Well I did this same ride 2 up before I left to IRAQ with the TC88 engine untouched except the SE 6 speed tranny installed and it sucked plus the clutch blew too. So while I was in IRAQ I had NW Harley pick my bike up and fix that crap. We put the 103" kit on, Woods TW6G geared cams, ported the screamin eagle heads before install and installed the Barnett Scorpoin clutch. WHAT A DIFERENCE, if it rolled out the factory like that it wouldve been nice!!
We were going up the mountain with no problems and passing cagers on the HWY with no problem what a huge difference.
Plenty of power, I bet she'd put an 09 to shame. Im keeping my 2006 Ultra hell she only has 3200 mile anyways.
I used to live in Yelm so I know the ride you are talking about. Very nice. Sounds like your bike is dialed in too. If you ever make it to Yakima, PM me and maybe I can see that nice scoot of yours.
