i didnt like the look also and i put the Kuryakyn kit on their that put it right under the signallights. looks good, i will post some pics soon as these flood waters receed in houston....

Softbrake sells a simple steel plate that mounts using the tail light signal bar to mount the license plate below the tail light:

I installed the SG tail light/license plate kit sold by HD. You can save $$$ by simply buying the turn signal bar and upper license plate bracket, instead of buying all of the other stuff in the kit.

Yep...it requires you to tweak the tag just a bit to follow the curve.

Did you cut your grab bar or buy the kit ? How did you cut it and what did yu use for the holes?

Fireman Joe's has a nice one - which I purchased. Looks good and keeps the whole rear fender nice and clean, IMO.

Unbolted the bar and installed Auto-Gem shotgun lights.
