I know Its still warm but looking to save some coin I got a screamin deal at the local HD's Tent sale I picked up a HD Heated Jacket for $90.00 now I went home and hooked up the pig tail to the battery. I alsmost messed that up because I forgot about disabeling the alarm and when I took off the negative first and connected the wire the alarm went crazy also the posotive. got em hooked up and put on the Battery Tender all OK Whew!!! I noticed that the on the pigtail the end that the jacket plugs in is the same as the battery Temnder. I hooked that up and the jacjketyt also worked Could I have saved myself some trouble and simply plugged the jacket into the Battery Tender pigtail?? Thanks BV.
For convenience sake you want the pig tail end of the battery wire you plug the jacket into, to be sticking out from under the front of the seat between your legs. That way there is no cords dangling out the side of the bike. I carry my dual controller in my left pocket, so I can adjust it while riding. You do have a temperature controller ? I can't remember if the battery tender lead has a fuse in it. You definitely want to use an inline fuse.
don't know if it really matters but i usedthe pigtail i got with the jacket. Figure with gloves and pants it's nice to have the fuse so i don't damage anything else should something go wrong.
