Default engine starting question

my 07 electraglide is running good , the only upgrades done has been sreamin eagle slip ons and a k&n stock replacement air filter. my question is to any one who might have an idea as to why , upon starting, the bike just turns over ,wanting to start but wont fire. usually when i let off of the starter and hit it the second time it fires right up. it cranking over good and runs fine. i have checked the plugs and air filter, they look great. it seems like it has been doing this since my 6500 mile run to sturgis and back.. the bike has around 16000 miles on it. thanks for your input....

Mine does that and when I twist the throttle it will start. Check the oil level, it might be low.

When you turn your ignition on do you wait for the amber fuel or ignition icon to go off, indicating that the fuel pump has primed the injectors or , do you immediately push the start button?

I have 22,000 miles on my '07 and have never experienced a failure to start within about a second.

My 05 RG started doing something similar (seems like the battery doesn't have enough juice for the first turn) only after I upgraded to 95". I believe its got to do with more compression. I just hit it for that half assed turn then let go and hit again and it starts right off.

i always wait for the fuel pump indicator light to go off before hitting the starter button. the engine is cranking fine. so i dont think its the battery... the bike idles fine,, runs out fine and idles fine, so im not sure what it might be...
