SGTTHUMP, It does appear to be easy. I've had the entire nacelle apart twice. Once to adjust my handlebar, and lately to add the AUX Light Kit. I had the dealer print out the parts illustration so I knew which parts I needed to lose the little deflector.
Is that a real easy task and does the regular 'ole RK standard/classic handlebar clamp cover thing fit perfectly? I'm guessing the answer is yes to both, but I thought I'd ask (since it sounds like you've researched it!)
Chris
simple task. been there, done that. you need to purchase 3 items. the handlebar cover, which can be found on ebay for around 30.00, new is about 60.00. and the trim spear, thats a little harder to find on ebay, but is relatively cheap at around 25.00 from zanottis. and the third item, that i didn't get but ended up wishing i did, is the speed nut that holds the trim spear on the nacelle.
the one i got from the hardware store doesn't hold quite as good as the hd one, so if i take it off, i put a piece of masking tape over it when i put it back on (its inside the nacelle so it isn't seen). but if i were doing it again, i would buy the hd one at the same time, can't be more than a couple of bucks.
