Default Heated Grip problem

It was kinda chilly this morning so I clicked my heated grips up to 2, rode a few miles and thought 2 is always very warm. Moved up to 4 and rode a little further and still didn't feel anything, pulled off my Gloves and nothing. These where on the bike when I bought it. I checked the service manual and not a word about heated grips, and I don't have the instructions. I checked fuses all ok. Where do I start troubleshooting this problem? Thanks Tripp.

ALL the Harley grips seem to fail at some point. One dealer (probably more out there) told me he won't carry them anymore. I have the HD grips on my bike and for 2 years now, they are still working (used them this morning at 0530 hours on the way to work) but I expect them to quit. Use the "SEARCH" function on this topic; several past threads.

I put Heat Demon brand heating elements (they go inside the handlebars) on the GF's bike. They are awesome and you'll find others on the forum that use them too, plus 1/2 the cost of the HD grips.

Get the heat demons and you'll be happy. Haven't heard one bad report on them.

Good luck

Thanks guys, I'll check both the search function and also check out heat demons. They worked fine last week just thought they would start to not heat up as hot or as quickly not just stop.

That's strange. I have HD heated grips and what I am finding is the right one keeps getting hotter regardless of the setting. I need to turn them off in order to keep the right one from burning my hand.
