Default Auto Compression release

Anyone out there added these to an 06? I'd like to do it if it is not to costly. I see the release list for 35ea not to bad but what about wiring harness?

I already have the manual ones but am a bit lazy with them

Installation requires separate purchase of model specific ACR Wiring Harness P/N 70623-06 or 70623-08.

Will this harness work on an 06??

You should'nt need any compression releases at all - manual or electronic. Not on a 95" motor. I'm running 10.5/1, 577 cams on a 95" motor. No comp. releases and no starting problems whatsoever. The electronics can be problematic as evidenced on a friends '07 CVO. They would never close completely so his shop disabled them. He's had no starting problems either. Maybe check your battery to be sure it's 100%. Mine does crank 1-2 revolutions before firing.

Your bike may start fine without comp releases, but the question is how long will it continue to start?

Compression releases are just a smart investment. Whether you need them or not on every start up is not really the only criteria. It could mean the difference from getting your bike started when your battery unexpectedly goes a little low, and it will definitely make your starter last longer.

You can't make a blanket statement like 95" motors don't need them. Compression is the key, not necessarily engine size. Rmember that cam timing has a significant impact on cranking compression too.

Default Tune

I am going to change cams eventually so I may tune this out but I'd still like to go automated....

Thanks Z!
