Smile Fuelpac install

I just completed an install of a Big Sucker and V&H FuelPac. I have been running Thunder Header 2:1 only for the past year. I thought my bike was running pritty good with just alittle lean pop when I'd back down from 3500 rpm's. Just got back from a short ride with the air filter and Fuelpac installed and it was a world of differance. Bike has way better responce and no lean pop at all, even backing down from 4 grand. And get this, sound of the pipes is totally differant now, somewhat deeper.

The FuelPak might not get that last 5% of horsepower and torque....but it sures make the bike run better! I like it because it keeps my scoot off the dyno. Some of the dealers are looking at the dyno as their #1 moneymaker now!

AGREE FuelPak are GREAT as long as you don't plan on going past the stage 1... I always highly recommend them!

I am going to be installing my big sucker and fuel pack next week. Just curious when you installed the back plate for the air cleaner did you use loctite on it?

IMHO you got lucky with the V&H FuelPac. When I tried to install one on my 03' SE CVO Deuce, I had nothing but problems.....so much so that I got word second hand that my neighbors were starting to get a little pissed at me for running the bike at all hours.
Now I know the 03' SE Deuce is a bit of a odd ball, coming from the York Factory stock with the SE 95" engine, Flat Top pistons, SE 211 cams....and whatever else, and V&H may or may not have had a canned map for that bike with the Big Radius pipes and Thunder Monster baffles. I called their tech help line so many times I remembered the number by heart, and I was on a first name basis with the entire staff. They tried, but the FuelPac ended up on ebay!

I recently put a PCIII on my bike and also noticed the change in tone (for the better.) I thought I was crazy for a second or maybe the change in tone was in my head, but apparently not.

I talked to a guy at the dealer yesterday and he pretty much said the same thing you have. He went on to say that the Fuelpak will work well with slip ons and an AC, but falls off with true duals. I have no idea, like I said, just what I've heard. I don't plan on going any further anyways so I'll be going with all V&H.

I tried the Fuel Pac and no luck with.My mileage with from 37mpg to 25 with the FP.But I do have true duals and maybe that was the problem.I tried 8 diffent maps from the tech at V&H and nothing worked.Don't get me wrong, the bike ran great, but burn too much gas.Went with the PC III and dynoed the bike, back to 37mpg and it still runs great.Oh ya,I have a 05 EGC.V&H round slipons and stage 1 down load with the true duals.
