My buddy just did the hog tunes 6 speaker kit on his Ultra and it's unreal. I'm ordering the lowers shortly, will very likely do the same setup as you. Thanks for sharing.
Nice looking setup, I've been thinking about adding speakers to my lowers and putting quick disconnects on them as they always come off in the summer.
They are already set up that way. If you look at the picture of the lower speaker without the grille cloth, you can see the plastic clip behind it to the left. The main speaker wire comes out of the bottom of the fairing and ends with two clips that go to the separate speaker wires that run along the engine guard in either direction. You can disconnect them just tuck the main wire back up inside the fairing. The only issue you will have is that you have to remove the speakers from the mounting brackets to get at the bolts that hold the upper part of the lower fairing in place. I have never looked into it, but maybe the detachable hardware from Harley would fix that issue. Of course, with detachable hardware, you would then be asking someone to steal your lowers and speakers.
Thanks a lot. :-( Now there is something else I can't live without. Time to spend more $$$. You did a great job with the pics. How much is the Dynamat? Did you say or did I miss it? Does the new set up add volume or just clean it up and add bass?
