What is the "right" tool? I plan on tearing mine down this winter and putting forks on it. Maybe the manual will help?

Just use the big wrench in your stock tool kit.

It's actually 35mm and they do make them but they arn't easy to find. My son had to buy a full set of combination wrenches at Harbor Freight. to get one

Yup, 1 3/8" (which is 34.92mm). A very short socket would work. I bought a 1 1/4" wrench and carefully ground it to 1 3/8". Not an optimal approach but it worked fine.

when metric wrenches are close to sae they are hard to find. didnt want to buy a whole set to use 1 wrench. northern tool had the 1 3/8 wrench for 12$ good fit and lots of leverage to work in a tight area
