I installed a zumo 550 on my trike, using the aux out of the 550 and aux in of the HK audio system. I can hear the ignition and have noise when using the 550. How do I get rid of the 'noise'? Thank you.

Are getting what is know as "alternator whine"?
Does the noise vary with the rpms?
How is the ZUMO mounted to your scoot?
Are you getting dirty power or a noisy ground?
Try this test..
The best test to see if a system would benefit from an isolated power supply is to temporarily power the component with a small 12 Volt DC motorcycle battery. If the noise goes away and the component performance improves with the motorcycle battery, then the isolated supply should be considered. An isolated power supply is not an in-line filter. The supply actually generates its own energy and when installed correctly, acts like a small motorcycle battery that never needs to be charged.
I have not heard of this before so I think you have an installation-specific problem. The separate isolated power supply would probably solve the problem, but is also probably not necessary. Merlin's comments on checking your power and ground leads will most likely provide the best solution. You need to have a good, clean, solid ground. Find a good place to attach the ground wire. The power line should not be added to a location that has other potentially noisy devices also attached (other electronic goodies). The extra connector that is sometimes present behind the headlight is a good choice. You can also attach a large capacitor (1000 uF or more with a 35V or higher voltage) between the power lead and ground. This will bleed noise off the power lead.
My wife has a 550 on her RK. This is what I did. The GPS is mounted on the left switch housing as suggested by Garmin. I used cable ties to secure the power cable to the handle bars. The power cable runs down between the tank and back bone. In front of the battery you'll find the acc connector. I bought the mating connector, wired it to the power cable and plugged the connectors together. No loops or coils in the power cable. The loop is in antenna.
I have a Quest on my RG. I used the above procedure for power.
The 1000uF cap will help. If you want to try shunting higher frequencies use a .01uF too.
