I already thought of a manual adjust but I still have my rest off my 07 and a manual adjust would be over 200 with mounting kit and tax

oscarg, you can just buy the mount $30 and switch the rest back and forth as you need.

Unless of course you found a way to ride two bikes at once and if you did please share your method. J/K

Think this is the Part number 52589-09, picked mine up this weekend.

masterblaster I already own a 259.00 adjustable back rest that needs a kit # 52596-09 and so far I have not been able to find one, I am not ready to buy a regular back rest quite yet

I have a adjustable HD backrest on my 06 Ultra. To use my current HD backrest on a new 09 Ultra will I just need the
ADJUSTABLE RIDER BACKREST MOUNTING HARDWARE KIT 52596-09
for 49.99?? thanks
