Default air cleaner question
Right now, I have a screaming eagle air cleaner and the stage 1 on my bike. I like the look of the new heavy breather screaming eagle air cleaner. I seen where they fit the '08. does any one know if they make them for prior years? I would like to get one for my 03. thanks.

Not the SE Heavy Breather, but you can get an aftermarket cone type just like it for your year scoot. Just look in the Drag Specialties book

Check the Screamin Eagle pro racing catalog. Part # 29592-05 is a 'Heavy Breather'
that fits all '99 to '07 twin cams.

That pn# shows obsolete and has been superceded to 29299-08 which only shows fitting 08 and later. I'll have to do some more investigating.

yeah, i have seen that in the racing cat., but online and in the parts cat. it says only for 08's. I was ready to buy one when i seen it. I dont really like the after market ones, unless it is almost exactly like the SE.

Good thing I already have one on my scoot. Check with the parts monkeys at the dealer, maybe they can find one for you.

SE Heavy Breathers are prone to leak oil from the breather caps. O-rings do not offer a total seal. Also, the caps can't be removed without tearing the o-rings. Poorly designed set-up. I run a Big Sucker.
