Help! Where to Place Rivco Air Horn Compressor on ABS Equpped Road Glide???
Just ordered & received Rivco's AHHD Air Horn. I decided I liked the looks of the dual trumpets otherwise it was a tossup between Rivco & the Mini Beast. I was told by Rivco that it would fit next to the ABS module but I don't see how.
Have any of you installed the Rivco on an '08 with ABS? And if so, where did you mount the compressor? (I read the recent thread referring to an '07 Install but there's no longer the room infront of the battery like there aopparently was on the'07.)
Apparently Rivco needed to update the installation pictures on their website to show a picture with the ABS module. One was posted yesterday. Here it is.
Thanks for that picture, I may move my Steubel compressor there as well. I have it stuffed under the seat and it is really tight. I never thought of under the right side cover. It will hide the hose better as well.
I just bought a Rivco dual trumpet for my 2009 Fat Bob, no problem mounting the horns, but I spent 2 hours yesterday puzzling over a location for the compressor-there doesn't seem to be any room in the " usual" locations. So I ordered the chrome compressor cover, and looks like it's going to be a exposed downtube mount, or just maybe under the battery cover with some sort of home made bracket. I'll post photos when I get it figured out.
