OK, I installed the radio and hooked up a car speaker to it just to see if it worked before I went out and bought speakers, the radio says it needs to be calibrated ( what does this mean??) and when I play a cd there is a beep, beep, beep about every couple seconds. Any ideas????????????????

it is a Harmon Kardon Harley am/fm/cd.

 

From what I understand, the HD radio needs to be "programmed" at a dealership.

 

What year bike are you installing the HK in?

Is the radio new or used?

Do you have access to an HD Electrical Diagnostic Manual?

Do you have the installation instructions that come with the radio if purchased seperately from HD, rather than as a take-off/used unit?

 

Make sure you get 2ohm speakers for that HK unit. HogTunes makes some really nice 2ohm speakers at a great price.
