I have a large clearview that is couple inches taller than stock. I also have lowers. They were on the bike when I bought it and I will never change it out. I am 5'8", 30" inseam. The front and rear are both lowered. I don't have a problem looking through the shield. It provides great rain protection.
Does the tint help with anything or is it purely for aesthetics? When you look through the shield is it harder to see through in low-light or night conditions? Glad you weighed in on the vented model too as it seems that would help with the vacuum issue. I wonder why more people don't seem to be buying the vented model though.
I don't ride much at night but in Milwaukee at the 105th I did find it a little weird that the shield tint was there at night while riding. It is not really dark, but you can tell for sure.
this is on my Clearview.
I tried the Klock Werks shield and didn't like it. It vibrated too much and didn't help with the wind protection at all. Besides, when I tried to send it back the told me they could only give me half my money back because it was used. Duh, how else could I try the thing?

The tinting has helped in preventing both dayight sun glare and night headlight glare, tested during 9,000 miles of riding this year so far,
The vent cost might be a factor in not purchasing it, and to some the look might be a factor in not wanting one,
agreed, the 12' KLOCKWERKS LOOKS COOLS BUT IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS.
A fellow rider this weekend took off his clockwerks 12" and bought a factory stock shield for his CVO Road Glide prior to going on the HOG Overnight Trip to Potter County,
He said the clockwerks looked cool, but blasted him with severe buffeting on the highway,
