Ok... so the HK audio system for the '06 tourers can be flashed. The current version is 7.8.0 - at least that's what's currently available on HD's website. So my question is, what new features do these upgrades usually include? Or are they just bug fixes? Is there a revision history doc available?
Don't know what the updates are in specific. But, I updated my SG radio yesterday and it was a very easy process to do. Just follow the HD website instructions

No new features
Fixes for existing issues only (but you won't know what it is supposed to fix evidently the MOCO figures we are just a bunch of stupid bikers and don't understand firmware / software etc.) This last one supposedly dealt with "blank LCDs, LCDs with lines, and a static noise issue".
No revision history from the MOCO unless it is one they give the techs.

I haven't had chance to see what version my radio is at but since it was built this month, I'm assuming it'll be the latest version - or at least within 1 rev. But, even if HD came out with an 8.0 version today, I wouldn't do a flash until I had a chance to check out the release notes.
Bummer - and that's what I was afraid of. I did verify that I'm at 7.8 so I guess it's really not a big deal. But being a techie (and having seen firsthand computers rendered inoperable due to a FLASH BIOS upgrade gone awry), I'm probably not going to be the first to jump on the next upgrade rev unless HD documents a compelling reason to. And I'm not holding my breath.
