Well, I have decided to have my bike painted a different color and need help.
I'm pretty sure on red but don't know which red. One of the many SunGlow red I expect, but there are so many. And tank graphic? Which one. I'm leaning towards something in script.
I need some ideas and examples so if you have something you think sharp please post a pic.

I don't know what red it is, but the guy you bought the bike from had the photoshoppers do the bike in red and it looked sharp! I posted the pic. But, why not sell your nice paint tins and get some stock tins to repaint? Might help you on the $. Good luck, and glad you're well enough to start thinking about doing bike stuff now. Good luck!

BTW, how you like the RK versus the Heritage?

Are you painting the bike in your post? I think it looks good as is.
Go to a custom painter and sift through the color chips. Get any mag that has custom painting in it, cars/trucks/bikes/whatever and look in them and bring some ideas to a painter. As for script, I'm going to assume that you are wanting Harley-somethingoranother painted back on. Why? Is Harley paying you to advertize for them? When you go custom, that means you leave the name off. Everyone knows who made the bike. Now if you mean some other words/graphics then by all means think of something and add it. I just don't see the reason for getting a custom paintjob, then having HD put back over that paint. Makes no sense, but that's my opinion
I don't think I want black. Everyone has it.
I have to paint the tank because it's got a nasty bugger on it and I didn't really like the color anyway.
I'm think something like this if I can afford it.

Are you going to keep the white walls? If so, and you're going to go with some type of flames, I wouldn't go to the really exotic ones, like tribal. Maybe stay more traditional? Take a look at this site http://customflamepainting.com/
they specialize in flames. Keep us informed! BTW, I see that you've already changed some stuff on the bike. Looking good!
