Markel vs. Geico

I have had Markel Insurance for the last 5 years on my bikes. A friend of mine suggested I check out Geico.

I did and was able to save a lot of $$$ on the exact same coverage.

I got a quote online and it sounded good, called them and actually talked to a person and not a computer

.

Just wanted to pass this on.

Geico is expensive in Michigan, I use AIG.

I am in Arkansas. No marks on my driving record and I guess it would matters were you live.

With their financial problems, sure you are going to have coverage tomorrow?

Insurance rates will vary from state to state even if the quotes are from the same company. They key is to shop around.

Some dealers may not accept Geico. Dealer I go to will not deal with Geico, Service Manager said they deny some repairs they don't think are necessary. Maybe they have changed in the last few years? I will stick with State Farm, they have always been good for me.

Have 3 cars on Geico but they couldn't touch Progressive's rate for the motorcycle. Used to have everything with Progressive but switched the cars to Geico a few years ago because of substantial savings. Nevertheless, Progressive continued to give me a great rate on the RK and the updated 09 SG.
