Default engine noise

boy you can really hear the sound of the engine on these baggers with all of those fairings on it. is this the norm???

The fuel injectors are also very noisy.

I know when I take my lowers off, I dont hear as much. I just put them back on the other day and the sounds are back..lol..I guess the sounds bounce off everything!

You get used to it. It is, after all, an air cooled engine. It doesn't have a water jacket around it to hide the sounds. What I listen to is how the engine runs. If it responds to opening the throttle like it should, I be happy.

If you sat on your car's engine while it was going down the road, you would hear noises you don't hear inside.

The noise is normal up to a point.Mine was getting bad.Had to have the lifters replaced.
