I can't believe I'm the only one here using Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof in my gearbox. There isn't anything that could get me to change. I've got at least 250,000 miles on various HD's with it in the Trans, and haven't had a problem yet.. So, I guess I'll just stick with what works, and works, and keeps on workin'...
I have been using Red-Line products for some time now. As for my Harley's I started using the Red-Line in all three holes on my Screamin' Eagle Deuce....I know the CVO bikes come off the line with synthetic in them already, but when I switched the trans over to Red-Line Heavy Shockproof it made finding neutral much more easy. It also made all the shifts feel very smooth as compared to the Syn-3 (or whatever the MoCo uses in York), and the trans is quieter to boot!
Now I started using Red-Line synthetics in all three holes of my 08' Street Glide also,.....I wanted to wait until it had about 2000-2500 miles on it first. Now that I started using the Red-Line I am sticking with it, unless I am trying to achieve a certain result via one of the lubes.
