Default front end leak

I had to drop my bike off at the dealer today for them to fix a leak on the left side fork. Think it is just a bad seal, question is should I go ahead and have them put new seals in the right side even though it is not leaking, or take the wait and see approach? It is on a 2000 RK with 30,000 miles.

I would have both done.

Kinda what I was thinking, if one side went bad the other is prob not to far behind. Just kinda stinks they said it would prob be the first of next week before they can get to it.

You can ride it till then. A sm leak shouldn't - doesn't hurt handling much as long as your not racing!

Definitely do both. Not sure what your mileage is but when you do a fluid change always do both seals. Trying to save the $20 in parts/seals isn't worth having to re-do the $150-200 job again to replace the seals when you find out they were worn.

By the time I made it to the dealer today it was a pretty good leak, you could see what I would consider a large amount of fluid on the lower leg so I dont want to push it. I havent had the bike a month yet so this kinda makes me worry about what might be next. I guess its a good thing I got the 1yr service plan.
