Was wondering if anyone has used a Klock Werks Flare W/S on their bagger. If so any problems likes or dislikes? This shield is supposed to work a lot better than the stock ones on the highway with the batwing fairing. Thanks for any info
I had one for my Ultra. It worked exactly as advertized, however, I am 2" too tall for it as my head was always in the wind. WHich made it extremely noisey for me. I sold it to a buddy who can barely look over a 10" windshield and he loved it. I can look over a 12" windshield easily. I did like the way the bike handled with it in high wind situations. It seemed to allow the bike to cut through the air a bit better without making me feel unstable.
I am now using a 15" cee bailey shield that I am very pleased with. It is about the same height as a 12" stock windshield. I also have a 13" which works very well when I am riding without a helmet. But, since I live in Washington, I wear a helmet all the time hence the 15" shield.
I did hear a rumor that Klockwerks is coming out with a 10" tall version this winter. . .
