at 43K its time for a starter. draggin when hot (little when cold). not the battery-swapped that out. is it as simple as the book says?? two bolts and a couple wires?? found a starter at J&P for 250 and lo and behold i get home to my puter where a two day 10% sale actually coincides with the day im driving up ta get it. i dont often get that luicky
There is a little more than just the two bolts and wires. You have to unbolt the exhaust support, remove the primary cover and unbolt the bolt on the end of the starter drive. When you remove the starter drive pay particular attention to where everything came out of, which order, and what direction the coupler was, as it will go in either way, but will only work one way. Hope this helps.
P.S. Check out the prices on the Ultima starters. You can save some good money there!!!
