Default Changing out shocks

I have a '09 tour classic and thinking of changing to the h d lowering shock. Has anyone done this and is there a problem getting the air tubes off the shock?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

I don't know about changing out the shocks on the 09 models, but I think the air line release is the same as the older versions. If you look closely at where the airline goes into the top of the shock, you will see a rubber kind of rim that stands away from the actual shock surface. If you push in toward the shock on this ring then you can pull the airline out. Reattach it by just pushing the airline in till you hear it kind of click then reload your air with an air installer. (air pump) Be careful when putting air in them. They don't take much to reach 30lbs.

Shocks on the 09 bikes are completly different than previous models. Not sure how the air lines hook up.
