I have an 06 which doesn't have the wires through the bars like the newer bikes. I could be wrong but even if I tried to put the wires through the bars if it's even possible I don't think they wouldn't be long enough.

BTW, I am 5 10"

I considered the kromewerks also but liked the look of the 575's because they were thicker bars. I'm going to give them a fair shot but in the end I think they're coming off. I just don't have time to mess with it right now so I left them on.

I don't have eveything back together yet, can someone tell me if my wires will go through these bars? Remember I have an 06! If they will I'll start over and wire them internally because that would help a little if I could get the grips slid on farther.

2006ULTRA, the wires go through the new bar, they didn't on the old bar. You may/probably have to extend the wires.

I got them when I started having problems with a torn rotator cuff. I love them on my '06 FLHTCI, and agree on the improved handling.

I have the longer cables so thats not a problem.

My first mistake was I assumed the wires NOT cables went on the outside like the old bars.

Now that I think it through I bet the wires are long enough to go through the bars. I was in a hurry to get them on so I didn't look at the situation long enough.

When I get home I'll take a better look and start over.

I did find a pic of an 05 with these bars and the wires were not visible in the picture so they must be long enough to go through the bars in to the fairing.

I'll let you guys know later what I find out.

Thanks

When I did mine, I had to just unclip the wire loom under the dash. It allows the wiring to flex enough to fit the taller/wider bars.

I have an 05 Ultra and love my 575's. You have plenty of wire to run these through the bars. Stock cables will work with a little re-routing, the brake needs a little bend at the master cylinder to make it work. When I did mine I went to SS braded cables and added 4 inches on throttle, brake and clutch cables.

I been thinking about bars with some more pull back. I am only 5'7". I saw on Klock Werks site they have a new style bar. I dont believe they are cheap? But they claim to have a more natural bend for your wrists.
